IPSF Coaches

The IPSF is working towards raising the standard of national and world coaches within Pole Sports. In order to become a recognised IPSF coach we have put in place a proficiency system to increase the educational skill, knowledge and safety of all coaches recognised by the IPSF. This will help to protect, inspire and encourage athletes around the world as well as helping to professionally grow our sport in line with intentional sporting guidelines.

Coaches must:

  • apply to the IPSF to become recognised national before becoming a world coach
  •  apply and have certified in the IPSF Code of Points Training for the CURRENT Competition Season (applicable to the apparatus you want to be a coach in - an IPSF Judges certification is also acceptable)
  • complete & pass the IPSF Anatomy & Physiology course (published 2026)
  • complete the WADA Anti-Doping Training Course
  • be over the age of 18yo at the competition they are planning to coach at.
If a coach would like to qualify as a World's coach, they must have qualified as a National Coach BEFORE the National competition.

Please note that World Coaches applications will open on 1 August 2026 and close on 1 October 2026.

Please be aware that you are required to register as a Coach (pending approval) on the IPSF.App platform. You will receive your certificate via this platform, and NOT via email.

Please complete the application in English.

Please note: applications to become a national coach close 2 weeks before the National Championships. NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCOMMODATED!
